About Tetralysal 300

Tetralysal 300 contains lymecycline, a tetracycline antibiotic, as its active ingredient. Lymecycline works by killing propionibacterium acne, one of the main bacteria that causes severe acne. Propionibacterium normally feeds on sebum produced by the sebaceous glands in the skin. This process produces fatty acids and other waste that irritates the sebaceous glands, which become inflamed, causing acne.

It is also used for the treatment of chest and sinus infections, sexually transmitted infections, and infections in or around the mouth.

Tetralysal 300 is available as the branded version or with a prescription as generic lymecycline. NowPatient offers Tetralysal 300 or lymecycline as a treatment for acne only, following an online consultation with a prescribing clinician.
