Aseel Hamoud Bedan

About

Ms Aseel Hamoud Bedan is a consultant ophthalmologist at Imperial College, Western Eye Hospital. She began her initial medical training and post-graduate degree at the University of Baghdad.

Upon moving to the UK and furthering her learning in the medical profession, Ms. Hamoud received a medical retina fellowship and research fellowship from Western Eye Hospital in 2017, she worked as a Consultant ophthalmologist at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and lately at Western Eye Hospital. She gained her FRCS qualification from The Royal College of Surgeons in Glasgow, she was trained in Rebuplic of Ireland and obtained her MRCSI in 2014, EBO in 2013. Back in Iraq, she was qualified as a consultant ophthalmologist with a degree of CAB ophth in 2004.

She is also the Medical Director for NowPatient and is responsible for the quality and safety of medical services provided to users.
